Because it won’t be a one time trip.
Oh, Ikea.
300€ later, we’re back. All we needed was a desk, that should have run us 170€ tops.
Note to self: no more taking Goose shopping. Do all guys impulse buy like mad at ginormous stores?? What is it about all that stuff that makes guys go bananas and lose all sense of purpose?? Urgh.
Hi-ho, hi-ho…
…it’s off to IKEA we go!
I hate stores like this. COSTCO overwhelms me to the max and Goose has no sense of spacial awareness in big box stores like this. Which means, I get stressed and have mini internal panic attacks. Luckily, we’re going for just a few things and we will be armed with all necessary information this time! Hoorah!
lazy sunday
It’s Sunday and as we enjoyed our cafes this morning, we realized that some of our favorites are running low. So, we’re looking to get some more capsules for my Nespresso machine and we found an “authorized retailer” for Nespresso online. We thought,
“Hey we have nothing better to do – let’s go check it out! And get more coffee!”
We find our way over there (totally guessed the right way on the highway too – yeah!) and Media World is closed for lunch. So, with an hour to spare, we decide to go to Ikea.
O.M.G. The crush of humanity was INSANE. Oddly enough the parking lot had TONS of space when we arrived so we parked and strolled in. Went looking for computer desks (found one, will go back later) and then ended up in kitchen wares and found some jars! Problem! I don’t know how to buy stuff from Ikea in Italy! D got yelled at for removing the jars from the display so we gave up and kept walking. We ended up in a warehouse type place where hey look! The jars!
Load up on jars, get in line, pay, and walk outside to see that the entire population of Naples has converged on Ikea. No parking spaces left and we had a guy literally get out of a car and follow us to our truck to save the spot for his friend.
Of course, D’s spacial awareness seems to be lacking and he proved that brilliantly today. Not realizing that there was a huge crowd of people and that I had nowhere else to go, he continued to push the cart and me along until I was cornered resulting in a mini panic attack on my part. Nice.
Note to self – avoid Ikea on weekend days!
